Hornsey Town Hall

General Projects is an award-winning creative real estate investor, developer and operator. We are proud to have completed over 2 million square feet of modern, mixed-use, metropolitan hubs. Soulful places for people to create, to work, to play and to stay.

A new era begins
An icon. Reborn.
Originally built in 1935, Hornsey Town Hall is a landmark of modernist architecture and community life. Following a meticulous restoration led by Far East Consortium (FEC), we’re honoured to be entrusted with its next chapter: bringing energy, ideas and opportunity back into this extraordinary building.

The Town Hall will be home to a vibrant mix of cultural, creative and civic spaces - from studios, offices and co-working areas, operated by General People, to performance and exhibition venues, public rooms for hire, and a new restaurant and café.

A landmark
reimagined

It will also integrate with the adjacent Dao by Dorsett aparthotel to support visiting artists, performers and larger-scale events.

In the months ahead, we’ll be launching a summer programme of community activities alongside an open consultation process to shape the future use of the space, in partnership with placemaking specialists AND London.

Our mission has always been to revive and reimagine landmark buildings for public benefit. At Hornsey, we’re continuing that mission - creating a cultural anchor for Crouch End and the wider Borough, just as Haringey builds towards becoming London Borough of Culture in 2027.
